Serve - Near

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." - Jesus speaking on the night before His death (John 13:34-35)

Opportunities for Service at Faith Lutheran Church

Feeding South Dakota - Feeding SD neighborhood mobile food distribution is hosted by Faith in the east parking lot on the 3rd
Tuesday of each month from 1:00 -2:00 pm.  If you would like to volunteer, please sign up on the Feeding SD website.

Matthew 28 Adoption Ministry - Faith is home to an adoption ministry, in partnership with Bethany Christian Services, that support Christian families in the process of adopting children, either domestically or internationally. If you would like more information about the Matthew 28 Ministry, please email the church office at faithlutheransf@gmail.com.

Sunday Service Squared - On SS2 Sunday, Faith gathers for the worship SERVICE at 9:00 a.m. Immediately following worship, the congregation breaks out into a dozen or more SERVICE teams to engage in bringing the love of Jesus to our neighbors. Some of our work has included: visiting a local assisted living center, washing cars, paying for laundry at local laundromats, picking up litter, praying with our neighbors, raising money for Community Outreach, etc. Sunday Service Squared takes place the first Sunday of June.

Serving at The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House - Faith was blessed with a "Stand with Your Community Grant" from The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Portions of the grant funds are being used to provide lunch for our neighbors at the nearby Bishop Dudley one or more times per month. (Serving times are listed on the church calendar.)

The Clothesline - This is an "Angel Tree" opportunity each fall and winter. Faith members provide coats, snow boots and snow pants, hats, and mittens for needy children at a local public elementary school.

Comfort Food Ministry - Faith provides simple, nutritious meals for families facing illness, grief, welcoming a new baby, or returning home after a hospital stay. These meals are frozen and available to share at any time.
