Tenebrae is a service of darkness, remembering the hours Jesus hung on the cross. The processional song, Via Dolorossa, was sung by Maleigh Noble.Β This service focuses on the seven last sayings of Jesus, spoken from the cross. Seven preachers shared a brief message based on each word from the cross (Rev. Dr. Bob Heckmann, Rev. Dick Luttmann, Pastor Kory Janneke, District President Scott Sailer (shared on his behalf by Pastor Aker), Seminarian Joel Heckmann, Rev. Pete Sestak, and Pastor Corey Aker.)
